- induction and maintenance of general anesthesia in combination with other anesthetics;
- for short-term analgesia and/or sedation in mild to moderate pain syndromes when rapid analgesia and rapid recovery from sedation are required.

Medical nitric oxide in combination with artificial lung ventilation and other appropriate active substances is indicated for:
- treatment of newborns with hypoxemic respiratory failure;
- use as one of the components of the treatment of intra- and postoperative pulmonary hypertension in combination with heart surgery, aimed at selectively reducing pulmonary artery pressure, improving right ventricular function and oxygenation.
